Be a Fighting Sparrow!
Saint Nicholas Academy has been in existence in the town of Macabebe for many years. It is the only Catholic academic institution in the town of Macabebe and is supervised by the Archbishop of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Rev. Fr. Genaro Sazon founded the parochial school in 1947 and named it Auxilium Christianorum. The RVM sisters were tasked to supervise the school. It was temporarily closed from 1954 to 1974. In 1975, the school was reopened by Sor. Maria Encarnacion T. Rodriguez of the Handmaids of our Lady of the Sacred Heart (HOLSH) with a new name – Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School. The school offered complete pre-elementary and elementary course and classes were housed in the school buildings beside the parish church. Msgr. Anastacio Silvestre, a native of San Vicente, Macabebe, was the first parish priest to assume the position of school director. With the new administration, the name of the school was changed to Saint Nichols Parish School, in honor of the patron saint of the town – San Nicholas de Tolentino. Presently, the school is located within the parish church lot of Macabebe, Pampanga. The parish church is in front of the town’s municipal hall.
